More My Craft Studio Samples - Jewel Britannia ;-)

Had great fun last week making samples for MCS's new Click Print Go cd set..Jewel Britannia....loved making the samples  and there are some great designs for mens cards on the cd.

 
                                        

This one was one of my favs to do , the 'Keep Calm sentiment is ona clear plastic'cd' that is used to protect cds when you buy them in packs, attached a brad beneath the sentiment so that it turned.

I did my first craft class yesterday....there were two ladies who are both good crafters so was a bit worried that they would find the class too easy! we did decoupage which I know both have done before ... but I think we all learned something,  both learnt how to tie bows without the use of a bow maker and also with out them being lopsided as often happens! Looking forward to next mondays crafting lesson should hopefully be more ladies too :-)

We made a card using the decoupage and papers from Trimcrafts Mimi range.

OK! Where does the time  go??? Belated Happy New Year to my followers! Let's hope it's a good one for all of us :-)
Have been looking into making and selling special gifts such as Diaper cakes, Towel Cakes etc Also going to start up making wedding stationery, favour boxes and wedding ring cushions, I am also hoping to start doing small card making classes from home......

The last one is my favourite design I love the colours in it, although with the gift bag and notelets I changed the colours of the card using the MCS program.

Diaper Cakes

Having made some Rag Wreaths prior to xmas I thought I would have a go at making Diaper cakes to start (Towel cakes and cupcakes will be next) This is the first Diaper cake I have made.

Christmas!!!

Well it's christmas eve.....think I am sort of ready although we are spending christmas day with my daughter, she is cooking roast beef dinner.....really looking forward to that as she is a very good cook.....I have taught my daughters well! lol! I managed to make 15 rag wreaths of which 10 sold so had a nice little bit of pocket money in the run up to xmas....have found some great ideas I want to try and make along with cards etc for hopefully doing craft fairs in the next 12 months. Made some more samples for My Craft Studio for a new cd being launched on the 30th December.....fell in love with the images on the artwork sent over to me :-) All it leaves is for me to wish all my lovely followers a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Where has the time gone?

I didn't realise it has been so long since I posted on here....here is a quick catch up...My Daughter kelly got married in August - it was a small family wedding and even though it rained at one point and was a bit dull it was a lovely day and her dad and I felt very proud :-)


Steve and I have just 'celebrated' our Pearl wedding anniversary (30yrs) although we didn't go out we had a celebratory egg and chips for tea!

I started going back to the local craft club once a fortnight even though we don't seem to get much crafting done! more coffee biscuits and chat! ;-)

I am in the process of helping a friend in the village set up her craft shop - all the fittings have now been completed and we are busy ordering stock and filling the shelves - I didn't realise how hard it would be trying to decide what were the best items to stock - hopefully we have got it right or it wil be right by the time we open which should be last week in November / first week December.

I have found a great idea for making wreaths! they are made out of 'rags' cotton material and ribbons, and have sold a couple to date have made 5 started last weekend (beginning November)

Glorious Sunshine :-)

Well what a glorious few days of sunshine we have had here in sunny Wales :-) Hubs and I have been abel to get in the garden over the past two weekends re-designing it... still along way to go as we have decided to move the pond down the garden and put it into the ground, the original pond at the moment looks like a small swimming pool and is a bit of an eyesore!

Was asked to do three 30th anniversary cards last week and am pleased to say the ladies who ordered them were well pleased :-) Flowers were the order and NO birds!
